About
Born in Germany, raised in Canada, Nick St. Nicholas formed the band “Sparrow” in Toronto during the early ’60’s. A few years later they would crash their way onto the American music scene, changing the name of the band to “Steppenwolf” and spawning the mega-hits “Born To Be Wild” and “Magic Carpet Ride”. His bass riffs would add the heavy metal thunder to many of the group’s gold and platinum albums including “Steppenwolf Live”, “At Your Birthday Party”, “Monster” and “16 Greatest Hits”.
